How to Change iPhone 7 Screen Preparation for iPhone 7 Screen Replacement

• Turn off your iPhone by pressing the power button.
  
• New LCD screen
  
• Metal spudger
  
• "+" shape screwdriver
  
• Tri-point screwdriver
  
• Pentalobe screwdriver
  
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace
  

Step 1: Open iPhone

• On the bottom edge of iPhone,remove the 2 screws with the Pentalobe screwdriver.

• Then separate the screen of iPhone from the bottom edge with the metal spudger.

• When the screen is open, the flex cable connecting the screen with the battery will still be attached.
  

Step 2: Remove Cables

• Remove the four, tri-point screws.
  
• Use the spudger to disconnect battery from the logic board.
  
• Remove the display connector flex cable.
  
• Unscrew the two Philips head screws on the shield over the front panel sensor assembly connector;
  
• Disconnect the black front panelsensor assembly connector cable from the logic board

• Remove the LCD from iPhone body.
  

Step 3: Remove Font Camera

• Remove the five Phillips head screws that hold the silver bracket on the top of the LCD
  
• Now pull out the font camera with the spudger
  
• Remove the earpiece speaker
  
• Pull up on the proximity sensor to remove it
  

Step 4: Remove the Home button

• Unscrew the pentalobe screws from Touch ID and home button bracket
  
• Remove all the screws from the sides of the LCD shield
  
• Remove the LCD shield from the screen
  
• Disconnect home button cable connector and underlying connection
  
• Pull out the Home button

Step 5: Replace the Screen

• Insert the home button into the new screen
  
• Connect home button flex cable
  
• Set the LCD shield over the screen
  
• Put the screws back the fasten the LCD screen shield
  
• Reverse and reassemble the iPhone
