CE certification is limited to the basic safety requirements of products that do not endanger the safety of humans, animals and goods, rather than general quality requirements. Therefore, the accurate meaning is: the CE mark is a safety mark instead of a quality mark.
The "CE" mark is a safety certification mark and is regarded as a passport for manufacturers to enter the European market.
The"CE" mark in the EU market is a mandatory certification mark. Whether it is a product produced by an enterprise within the EU or a product produced by another country, if it is to be circulated freely in the EU market, it must pass the CE certification to show that the product meets the EU Basic requirements of New Method for Coordination and Standardization. This is a mandatory requirement imposed on products by EU law.
Organizations that can issue CE certificates
(1) Declaration of conformity / Declaration of compliance issued by the enterprise independently. This certificate is a self-declaration and should not be issued by a third-party organization. Therefore, it can be replaced by the EU-format enterprise "Declaration of Compliance".
(2) Certificate of compliance / Certificate of compliance. This is a declaration of conformity issued by a third-party organization. It must be accompanied by a test report and other technical information TCF. At the same time, the company must also sign the Declaration of Conformity.
(3) EC Attestation of conformity "EU Standard Conformity Certificate", this is a certificate issued by the EU Notified Body (Notified Body abbreviated as NB). According to EU regulations, only NB is eligible to issue a CE declaration of EC Type.
What is CE certification?
It means that the product with the CE mark has passed the corresponding conformity assessment procedure or the manufacturer's declaration of conformity, and it complies with the relevant European Union directives, and is used as a pass for the product to be allowed to enter the European Community market. The relevant directives require industrial products affixed with the CE mark. Those without the CE mark shall not be sold on the market. Products that have been affixed with the CE mark and entered the market and are found not to meet safety requirements shall be ordered to withdraw from the market. Continued violations of the relevant CE mark provisions of the directive will be restricted or prohibited from entering the EU market or forced to withdraw from the market.
Due to the impact of the COVID-19, there is an urgent need for medical supplies in the world, especially the serious shortage of masks, and Chinese suppliers have become the most critical output of medical supplies in countries around the world!
According to EU regulations, protective masks must obtain Module B + Module C2 or Module D certificates before they can be legally sold in the EU.
